Hello, old friend

I saw your Troper Page on TV Tropes, and saw that it included this:

"An ally to The Nerf Guy, and an old enemy of another troper who shall remain nameless (he was permanently banned anyway, so the war is over)."

Whoever the Nerf Guy is now that I know you and he did this intentionally, I intend to do everything I can to make his and your life a living Hell.

Do you have any idea how incredibly silly you sound? Seriously - are you some sort of hacker god? Do you have access to police records? Is there some sort of psychic ability you possess I don't know about?

No? Then really, what in God's name can you do to me?

(If it makes you feel any better, I was kicked out of the site myself not long after. Their policies grow more draconian by the minute - it's not TV Tropes anymore, it's Tropeapedia.)

I know. And they did it because you were as rude as I remember. I was kicked off for disobeying their dumb indentation rule on a low-traffic page.

Yes, that does make me feel better, because you deserve it for keeping this silly grudge so long. Honestly, can you even remember how it started?

I looked at your Troper Page and The Nerf Guy's page. I suggest you both go to the Trope Page for "At Least I Admit It".

It's a Villain Trope, and qualifying for it does NOT make you an admirable person.

No Villain Trope is strictly villainous, except possibly "Moral Event Horizon".

And incidentally, if I recall correctly from the Edit Banned thread, you were kicked because you insisted on constantly editing and overseeing your story pages as though you had final say on everything. Compared to that, my vastly-overblown "rudeness" is nothing.

How did our grudge start? I remember quite well. Because you're a fucking plagiarist.

While I'm here, how, exactly, do you intend to make my life a living hell? You never did give an actual answer.

Well, let's see, in your own Troper page, you freely admit to being a pervert, a basement dweller (oh sorry, spare room), child hater, having a porn stash, and using shameless self promotion.

Your friend The Nerf Guy freely admits that he is lazy, a grammar Nazi (that I can believe), is arrogant, has a tendency to hold grudges (boy, I can vouch for that), a hypocrite (he claims everyone is) a jerkass, a troll, and has no social skills.

Oh, you can tell him that his "Freudian excuse" sounds a lot like my own childhood, but I do not believe, like he does, that "it's only wrong when someone else does it".

You claim I was a plagiarist. A plagiarist who wrote fanfiction. Right.

And yet you turned down every formal offer to formally charge me with it. (Or if you did, no-one ever believed you.

And as for how I'm going to make your life hell... Like I'm gonna tell you.

"Like I'm gonna tell you"? That's like a little kid running away after getting beaten to a pulp screaming "You'll be sorry!"

Brian... you once admitted to my friend Eric that you'd deliberately stolen a line from one of my stories because you wanted to force me to admit I was still reading your work. (A move that failed, because I didn't even know about it until Eric told me.) Stealing from another person's stories is plagiarism regardless of whether it's printed, for-sale fiction or fan work. If I stole one of the characters from the MLP fan film "Dusk's Dawn" and used it in my own fan film without credit or permission, would you argue I wasn't being a thief?

And what formal chances to accuse you? The one chance TPM extended the offer, they swiftly retracted it to defend you. (Yes, they used to defend you, until you made a point of launching flame attacks and political arguments at every turn.)

Then again, plagiarism is minor compared to your utter love of stealing lines and scenes from everything under the sun. In your CSR story, just to name one, I caught two scenes lifted directly from Star Wars Clone Wars and one from Samurai Jack. To quote (hypocritically) Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Quotation confesses inferiority."

Your list of tropes is outdated (not helped that I can't edit my page anymore) and largely pointless. I do live in the basement now, which actually gives me MORE space than my old room, but I've got an offer to move in with Eric around July that I'm looking into. Ever since my nephew Phoenix was born, I've come to like children. And as for the other three: if I'm not hurting anyone, what makes owning pornography, having perverted tendencies, or promoting my work wherever I can (something you're guilty of as well) villainous?

Oh, right. You're a believer in moral absolutism, as you have established in your stories, so evil things are always evil no matter what. Funny moral stance for a thief.

Who the hell is Eric?

See, that's the thing. This has gone on so damn long I can't remember the details. I've never even heard of "Dusk's Dawn".

How many years has this gone on? When I heard you and The Nerf Guy considered this a "war" and were intentionally trying to get me thrown off Tropes, I was thinking, "dear God, WTF is this guy's problem? Why is he obsessed with revenge?"

What do you hope to accomplish? What?

You're a sick man, and you're obsessed. You're obsessed badly.

Obsessed? Me? Brian, YOU'RE the one who came onto my journal and began to make threats. I was willing to let the matter drop after we were both ejected from TV Tropes. Before I ran into you on TV Tropes, I was willing to let things sleep after our last LJ argument... TWO YEARS AGO.

Oh, I'm not hoping to accomplish anything. Arguing with you amuses me.

So you admit to being a troll then.

I contacted the mod at TV Tropes (Drew) and explained the situation, along with how rude Fighteer and the other mods were, not to mention the fact that Fighteer violated Tropes own policy by refusing to even consider my case for appeal. Drew is going to have a word with him and review my case.

G'night now.

Correction: I reported you for sending me yet another rude PM. You may have claimed that it was you "suggesting", but apparently the mods didn't see it. Fighteer said it was rude of you.

I've already been to the "At Least I admit It" trope page. It being a villain trope ultimately means nothing, especially since real life doesn't truly have villains like you so obviously believe.

You seem to refer to every grudge as "silly". Perhaps I should point out that you plagiarized Man Called True's work WHILE having the gall to still call him your friend? And you never apologized for it either. Suddenly, the grudge doesn't seem silly at all. In fact, with that in mind, it's perfectly understandable. You betrayed a friend and never made amends. ANYONE would develop a grudge for that.

I never plagiarized his work, calling him "old friend" was sarcasm.

None of those Tropes on your Troper page are positive traits.

As for this grudge you two have, it makes the following Tropes apply to you both:

Disproportionate Retribution

Revenge Before Reason

Irrational Hatred

Windmill Crusader (there was no plagiarism)

The Resenter

and Unknown Rival (to me; I never cared about this silly "war" you had)

Not to mention So Unfunny Its Funny on occasion. (Because it's so pathetic that he's kept obsessing so long and devoted an ENTIRE BLOG to it. I never saw so much work put into such a trivial matter.)

You keep saying there was no plagiarism, but I remind you again that you OPENLY plagiarized one of my stories and then told JKBakura (the name Eric used on Pokemasters) that you did it to get my attention. You can stop trying to hide behind your wall.

Again, this blog doesn't exist just to make fun of you. Have you never looked under the "Writing Index" link in this page? Or hell, not noticed all my Twitter reposts?

Since we're listing tropes, here's some that apply to you and your work:
- Serial Numbers Filed Off (for freely stealing from D&D, among other things)
- Franchise Zombie
- Small Name, Big Ego
- Smug Snake
- Hypocrite
- Deader Than Disco (NOBODY likes your stories anymore, Brian. Most people who like the Shadowchasers universe like what other writers have done with it. And don't give me FF.net reviews; that place is a giant echo chamber.)

Nine out of ten plagiarists deny their actions. Seriously, I've seen that card played so many times it's not funny. You also clearly didn't understand that MAYBE I was referring to BEFORE he called you out?

The reason the grudges still stand is because YOU insist reigniting them. Therefore, it's your fault grudges are being held against you for this long.

I can easily see several of those tropes applying to you instead.

Disproportionate Retribution: You have a tendency to demonize anyone whom you feel has caused you an injustice and you seek to lead raids against them. Also, you're threatening make both of our lives a living hell. All this over something you're better off letting go.

Revenge Before Reason: You making the attempts on us without any foresight as to whether anyone would take you seriously or not, or even what it could do to your reputation. I understand you have a lot of fans. It would be such a shame if they were to abandon you because you became so obsessed with revenge. Also, you could just let it go and no one wold fault you for it.

Irrational Hatred has overlap with The Resenter: You've established it all before even meeting us. You hold grudges against everyone who you feel has done a slight against you, even when you've done more than enough to deserve said slight.

Windmill Crusader is debunked because plagiarism was confirmed, and there's nothing you an do the change that. Maybe in your dreams there is, but this is not your dream, and it certainly doesn't revolve around you (or anyone else, for that matter).

A few other tropes that apply to you:

Manchild: You act like a spoiled brat when you're not given your way and you throw childish tantrums. Horus over on TAPIR said it himself: your rant makes you look like a screaming child. You're even being referred to as juvenile. You are also in your late thirties to early forties.

Never My Fault: Fighteer said it himself, and I quote: "You insist on blaming people for trying to help you correct your mistakes." You may have denied it, but it was really quite obvious that you were blaming others for things that were your fault. Also, plagiarists and spoiled children FREQUENTLY play the blame game and refuse to accept that their actions may be wrong.

Also, I personally never said it was a "war", so I'd suggest you get your facts straight before you jump to conclusions.

This blog isn't a huge snark like what you make it out to be. Really, it's just harmless sporking. If you ignore it, it really wouldn't hurt you. Hell, you can even derive some amusement from his picking apart your works.

Finally, no matter how you view things, no matter what you want, now matter what you think should be happening, you are no where near as great a guy as you think you are, And nothing you ever say or do will change that. It's a simple fact beyond your control.

Also, you didn't really think Horus would take your side, did you?

"Also, you didn't really think Horus would take your side, did you?"

I haven't heard a peep out of them, and I'm still on Fanfic, so it seems their investigation has come up empty.

"Windmill Crusader is debunked because plagiarism was confirmed"

Only in your mind.

Horus still banned you from the thread for a while and still told you to get over it. He hasn't taken your side.

Plagiarism remains confirmed because you confessed to it at an earlier date. Nothing you say or do will ever change that fact.

Now grow up and get over it. Otherwise, enjoy being treated as a spoiled brat.
