Japanese Snacks Taste Report, Part 2
Mar. 15th, 2018 06:36 pmYaokin Chocola - "Chocola" is the only word in English on the package; the logo is a anthropomorphized bottle of soda with sunglasses and a gold chain. The candy itself is chocolate-covered balls. They have a gummy inside that's supposedly cola-flavored, although I've never tasted a cola anything like it. It's not an unpleasant taste, but I wouldn't deliberately seek it out. It's all right for what it is, just not my taste.
Japanese Snacks Taste Report, Part 1
Mar. 12th, 2018 06:00 pmA while back I won a raffle on BVS and received $25 in Japanese snackfoods. I had intended to make a video about it, but I forgot just how weak and feeble my computer is these days - running the camera crashed it. So instead, here's a text report on how they go.
Ginbis Choco Bar Z White: Looks a tad like a cylindrical Rice Krispies bar. I can taste white chocolate on the surface and a little inside, but overall it tastes a lot like a rice cake. Wouldn't buy it again.
Meito Pukupuku Tai Choco: A wafer-style treat, shaped like a fish. The first bite confirms my suspicions as to what it tastes like - a vanilla wafer cookie wrapped around chocolate ones. This one I can see myself buying again. A bit heavy on the chocolate flavor; I suspect this is going to leave an aftertaste.
