Steps Forward and Steps Back
Sep. 14th, 2012 11:51 pmNo class tomorrow due to an in-school tournament. Looks like I'll just have to keep up my practice.
On Monday, I test for my next belt rank. It'll be a yellow belt... yes, the same rank the Sniper has.
I'm still waiting for word from Cub Foods. Given that I blanked when asked for an example of a time I gave good customer service (I'm applying for a cashier job), my hopes aren't great.

Litany of Pain
Sep. 12th, 2012 10:25 pmMy toes hurt. All of the toes on my right foot.
I can't bend all the way.
Just this morning, I started getting jabbing pains whenever I bend my left arm.
My right arm is still aching. It's like taking a number of shots to the funny bone.
It was only a few days ago that I got the full use of my neck back.
My money's on my hip being the next to go.

The monthly tae kwon do payments are killing me.
I applied for a job at Cub Foods. If I can get a full-time position there, I should be able to pull myself into something a little better than where I am now. Even if I can't, I'll have finished paying off the account in November.
Class is still going well, so it's worth all the trouble.

At Least It's Not Broken. I Think.
Aug. 29th, 2012 11:32 pmSo on Monday, I was at tae kwon do. During the self-defense portion, Mr. Palmgren, a tall and powerful man who often leads the after-hours kickboxing course, threw me particularly hard, and I came down on my neck.
It still hurts to bend it to the left or back, and laying down is a particularly bad idea.
Well, I suppose this means the broken toes are no longer my worst injuries from that class.
