Writer's Block: The long and short of it

Discounting children's books, the shortest book I've read is probably C.S. Lewis's The Screwtape Letters, which is more a pamphlet than a book (not that this makes it bad).
The longest is definitely Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which in hindsight should have tipped me off that bad times were coming - children's books have no need to be 700+ pages.
