#9: SURGERY
This is something of a multifaceted fear. I do not fear going under the knife by itself, per say... I am more afraid of certain aspects of it.
Anasthetics scare me, for they involve being put to sleep against my will. And when that happens, there's always the risk that you won't wake up again.
And what happens if they wear off too early?
What if the surgeons decide to go too far? I could end up in the hands of Dr. Steinman. "I never realized how much her face... sags. Scalpel."
