The Con, Day One
Mar. 29th, 2013 10:37 pmIt took a long time for everything to actually start. I found a nice pizza place just down the street from the hotel, though.
The first thing to open was the dealer's room. I've never seen so many bootleg DVDs in my life. Some nice options, but I'll see what's still on the shelf tomorrow.
Picked up a lot of free swag, though.
Attended the panel "Fairy Tale Physics" - which stopped being about physics when everyone present realized it was kind of a stupid topic and became an overall discussion of fairy tales.
I volunteered to be part of a panel on My Little Pony, which was kind of awesome.
The opening ceremonies were a bit overlong, but still kind of cool.
Spent the evening playing (and losing) board games.
