Chicago 2013: Day 3
Jan. 24th, 2013 10:12 pmStarted late today - I knew when my prospective targets would open, and it wasn't until the afternoon
Once I got out and about, my first stop was Kuma's Corner on Belmont. I had the Mastodon, a very well-made barbeque burger. Also the Buffalo chicken wings, which wasn't a very smart choice. Decent price, to boot.
I then spent some time wander Belmont, eventually picking up a lithograph for my grandmother. I have no idea how I'm going to get it home.
Once I grew tired of browsing Belmont Avenue, I took a taxi to Quimby's on North, which was another place suggested to me by the KOL player. It turned out to be a hipster store.
I should have known.
Found an interesting DVD there, along with the new Fangoria. On leaving the place, I browsed North for a while, finding a decent-quality comics store. I acquired another DVD there before heading for the hotel.
Tomorrow is B-Fest. A report will follow.
