I have a cold.  I hate having colds.  Don't fear them, just hate them.

#24: SCARS

I often think about getting a tattoo.  Never gotten around to it, and my mother's threatened to throw me out the door if I ever come home with one.  But a tattoo is something you choose, something that you place on your body of your own volition (for the most part).

Scars are something else.

Ritual scarification and scarification for art are concepts I've heard of, but the vast majority of scars are reminders of how helpless you can be.  Marks of how, at some point in your life, the entire world turned against you - for a minute or a year - and left you bleeding, or burned, or broken.

I can't stand that.
