Iowa Wedding's Over With
Jun. 24th, 2012 10:08 pmSo that's done. I didn't get to visit Aunt Dar's grave as we couldn't remember where the graveyard was, but I think she'd understand.
Spent some time with my nephew... quite a bit, actually. Ate far more than necessary, but took some very long walks. Spent the night in a very well-furnished condo where the only drawback was the TV not working.
Forgot to bring my pills...
All in all, everything went all right except for when one of the bridge's family called the groom's sister a cunt, which ended the reception with a fight. Thankfully, I was gone by then.
Met with Amanda Hocking, but didn't push the issue of having her help me break into publishing. Also got an interesting story idea I may put into Writers of the Future.
Not a bad trip, all told.
