May. 29th, 2012 09:54 pmI picked up the PS3 version of Splatterhouse yesterday. I'm on Stage 4 now.
It's hard. Really damn hard. The enemies do surprising amounts of damage, and the Block move doesn't do you much good. The controls are great, though, and the upgrade system's nicely integrated.
A little unhappy with the enemy variety so far, but it's picking up. The side-scrolling parts are a nice addition, much appreciated.
And the Terror Mask is freaking hilarious. Jim Cummings fits it perfectly.
I'm not sure how people reacted to Rick as a character here, but hey - Rick wasn't an actual character in the first game, so anything's an improvement.
