When my TV interests cross...

I'm a fan of 1000 Ways to Die. One story they just showed has a mad scientist build a death ray that works by focusing sunlight via a parabola of mirrors. (He knocks himself out and gets his head fried by his own ray.)

I'd seen this on Mythbusters. It's the Archimedes Death Ray. They've tried these three times so far and never managed to make it work.

It kind of sucks when two of the maybe five TV shows I watch undercut each other.
