Well, Huh.

A while back, I used to write Yu-Gi-Oh fanfics.  A one-shot villain in one of them, Jacob Waterknot, was one of the most vicious characters I ever came up with.  I wrote him as a remorseless, demonic man who was willing to level half of St. Paul to kill the hero.

I quite like Jacob Waterknot, and regret that I killed him off at the end of the chapter.  When the story ultimately fell through, I retrieved him and put him in my file of characters for use in later original works.

Today I discovered that someone put him on TV Tropes, in the Fan Works section of the Complete Monster page.  With a glowing write-up of his villainy.

I have two friends who have both read the story Jacob appears in and go on TV Tropes.  If one of them didn't put Jacob on there, then the alternative is that someone genuinely liked him enough to add him to the list.

I'm not sure whether to be proud or scared.
