Is this too early to pack?

I leave for Chicago in two weeks and three days.  I already have my carry-on packed and am considering ways to smuggle my laptop onboard.  I'd have packed my suitcase if I had more washed pants.

I always pack early.  I was packed for Vegas a full week ahead.

Anticipation is my worst enemy.
