#23: THE ETERNAL WAKING SCENARIO

In the first chapter of Sandman, Dream punishes his captor's son by trapping him in a dream that never ends.  Every time he thinks he's awakened, he suddenly encounters a horrible shock, which leads into another awakening that ends in another horrible shock, which leads into another awakening...

I've had several dreams that lead straight into other dreams, always scaring me every time.  You never know if they're going to end until they do.
