Hellboy 2. The characters act more like they're supposed to (no more inexplicable screaming fits by Jeffry Tambor, for one), Abe is an actual character instad of being a living tricorder, the plot isn't saddled with the obligation of reenacting Seed of Destruction, and the special effects are a step up (the Angel of Death is one of the most beautiful yet most disturbing things I've ever seen).
