Things I Fear: Thirtieth
Tomorrow is the day.
#30: THE SUN
There is an episode of "The Twilight Zone" where the Earth's orbit shifts, sending it into the sun. That episode's concept terrifies me.
I hate sunlight. This is ironic, given that I fear darkness, but the sun bothers me. I can't stand heat, and I burn easily. The sun blinds me far too quickly, and I have trouble staying awake during the morning. For all effects and purposes, I'm nocturnal.
If I was paler, I'd be a vampire.
What's more, the hotter it is, the worse off I am. I function badly in high heat, and I'm trapped in cool areas until the sun shifts. In cold, I can at least bundle up. The Sun symbolizes entrapment to me.
And yet I'm a huge fan of Princess Celestia...
